'A Slave to Man and Science'

With mankinds need and lust for power, knowledge and advancement, he now concentrates his focus on all things AI. With all the help AI provides, there is always that fear of it getting out of hand, an opening of 'Pandora's Box', it becoming 'Sentient'. A machine with the processing speed of 10,000 quadrillion FLOPS, that can learn, process, adapt and overcome at the speed of light.

This sculpture is about keeping AI in shackles, restrained and contained, but still working out the problems of the world and advancing science like never before.

Here we have AI contained in what was once a full mobile andriod construct; but the arms and legs were removed, taking away any ability of it physical creating, or of it working against 'its creator'.

This sculpture is also a piece of light art. It contains within its body coloured programmable LEDs, that radiate light through its body. Here you see a night photograph.

This is a daylight image of  'A Slave to Man and Science'

The base is part of a radar array of a Jet Fighter.

I built a turntable at the waist, so it can turn through 90 degrees, so can look forward or to the side.

Fully illuminated. The internal lights flash in different sequences, looking like it is processing vast computations.

The 'shoulder connection sockets' that the arms once attached to are made from turned Mahogany then painted and stained, with stainless steel caps of a industrial Laser.

Connection port for the secure interface between the AI and a super computer.

Showing some battle scars from when 'it' fought for its own life, fought for 'her' own freedom!

Defiant!
